According to government estimates, over three-quarters of adults in the 1.3 billion-person country have had one vaccination, and 30 per cent are completely immunised.

Three hundred sixty-eight of the country's 443 deaths were recorded in Kerala, where 32,049 people died. The southern state also contributed 5,297 new cases, bringing the total number of cases to 49,73,954.
According to data from the Union Health Ministry, Maharashtra had 809 illnesses in the previous 24 hours. In a single day, Delhi recorded 18 new cases and zero deaths.
This week, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will host a virtual conference with authorities from regions having poor COVID-19 immunisation coverage. According to the announcement, the conference will include areas with less than 50% coverage of the first dose and low coverage of the second dose of Covid vaccination.
Earlier on Monday, Australia recognised India's Covaxin for travel to the country, as it relaxed international travel restrictions. Five additional nations have opted to identify India's COVID-19 immunisation certificate, including Kyrgyzstan, Mauritius, and Mongolia.
