In a treat for all the food lovers, especially those craving Indian cuisine in England, then head straight to Lily's Vegetarian Indian cuisine restaurant in Ashton, Greater Manchester. It is serving a 'grand thali', and recently, they have spun a challenge around it. 
The 'grand thali' --- served on a 24-inch platter with an assortment of 50 dishes weighing over 7 kgs -- should be finished within an hour.
From the picture shared on social media, people can spot delicacies such as eight varieties of rotis, three types of rice, sixteen curries and sabzi, three dips, six desserts, two lassis, and two savoury snacks. The thali is priced at £35 (Rs 3,611).

According to media reports, Tom Eastham, Leigh Drennan, and two other contestants failed to win the challenge. Taking to social media, Drennan thanked everyone for the support and encouragement. He said that though they could not complete the challenge, they did beat the previous record. He added that the food was delicious. 
 
Speaking to the media, Pritil Sachdev, the restaurant owner, said they came with the idea while they were sitting at the restaurant. Though, it's the first challenge and thought it could be fun. In a post, the restaurant said that none of the dishes had gone to waste after the challenge.
