Popular Malayalam singer hasn't watched movies for past 25 years

P Jayachandran is one of the finest playback singers of Mollywood, who has over 1000 songs to his credit both in Malayalam and Tamil. But the melodious singer shocked everyone recently when he said that he hasn't watched any films in past 25 years. The reason the melodious singer says is his impatience to spend three hours inside a cinema hall and the busy schedule which keeps him on his toes.

When asked if there is a dearth of good music in Malayalam, the singer said, "Beautiful songs took birth when novels were made to films and favourable moods were created for songs. Today, lyricists do not have a chance to write and though there are plenty of talented singers around they hardly get to croon for good songs."
