Sushil Kumar is an Indian Olympic wrestler, having won many medals. However, he has been arrested for murder as a junior wrestler was allegedly killed by him and his associates at the Chhatrasal Stadium while he is currently in jail.
Indian wrestler Sushil Kumar continues to be in the news for his alleged involvement in the Chhatrasal Stadium murder case. It all happened on May 4 when a junior wrestler Sagar Rana was supposedly killed by him and his associates, besides leaving a few injured.
Over a month into the case, while Delhi Police has arrested Sushil on the same, the Crime Branch investigates. After the initial few days of being in police custody, he has been sent to the Mandoli Jail by a Delhi court.
As Sushil stays in jail, he had submitted a plea, requesting special food that involves high protein and a supplementary diet. However, the same has been turned down by Delhi's Rohini Court.
"He is a prisoner, not a guest. He will be served as per the Jail manual. We can consult the jail doctor if extra food is necessary. And, the extra food too will be given from the jail canteen. Outside food will not be allowed as it violates the jail manual. The Jail is not happy with the behaviour of Sushil," a source told Republic TV.

Meanwhile, according to The Times of India, a couple of gangsters in the Mandoli Jail have been shifted. It has been done keeping in mind the life threat Sushil faces right now from a Dubai-based gangster, Kala Jathedi.
According to the report, Jathedi has seemingly approached the jail's crime lord Lawrence Bishnoi via his followers. He is seeking revenge against Sushil, as the two had indifferences in the past, owing to some property-related issues.
As per sources, Jathedi sent messages to his associate Sampat Nehra for the job, while the latter had earlier also been arrested for plotting murder against Bollywood actor Salman Khan. Also, intelligence suggests that there could be a staged brawl at the jail that could pose a life threat to Sushil and the witnesses.
Consequently, Bishnoi and Nehra have been shifted to the main Tihar Jail, while Sushil stays in jail number 15 on the Mandoli campus. The latter has also been given a particular cell for the same reason while staying under strict vigilance.
