Sushil Kumar is an Indian wrestler currently under the scanner of a murder case at the Chhatarsal Stadium in Delhi. After being ordered by Delhi Court, he is presently in judicial custody, while his current stay has been extended until June 25.
Indian wrestler Sushil Kumar made headlines on a wrong note after being involved in the Chhatarsal Stadium murder case, which lead to the death of junior wrestler Sagar Rana. Since then, he has been arrested by Delhi Police while Crime Branch is handling the case.
Meanwhile, Sushil has currently been placed in judicial custody at the Mandoli Jail upon orders by Delhi Court. While the initial verdict was for nine days, it has been extended until June 25, reports Bar and Bench.
Sushil is being accused as the mastermind behind the whole murder. As per the prosecution, he and his associate held the deceased wrestler at gunpoint and beating him up mercilessly, leading to his demise.

Earlier, Sushil had applied for an anticipatory bail, which the court denied. Furthermore, police have said that they have substantial evidence which proves that he could be guilty.
Later, a video regarding the same surfaced on social media, where he and one of his associates were seen beating up the deceased with a stick while some tried to intervene and stop him. Furthermore, police have also said that Sushil intentionally got the murder filmed to terrorise the wrestling world and warn them not to mess with him.
So far, the police have made ten arrests in connection to the case, while an eye witness has also been roped in. In the meantime, Sushil's lawyer had demanded extra security in the jail as the former's life was seemingly in danger, with gangster Kala Jatheri supposedly wanting to kill him owing to the entire case and some historical indifference between the two.
