India and New Zealand lock horns in the 2021 ICC T20 World Cup on Sunday. Meanwhile, Sanjay Bangar has suggested that India moves in with Ravichandran Ashwin due to his rich experience.

On Sunday, former champion India desperately needs to win as it takes on New Zealand in Group 2’s Super 12 clash of the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 at the Dubai International Stadium. With both teams looking to earn their maiden tournament win, it is set to be a mouth-watering clash.

While India has never beaten New Zealand in the competition to date, it would draw inspiration from its last outing against the side when it whitewashed 5-0 in New Zealand itself. However, many experts seem unsatisfied with India’s spin combination in the tournament, as Sanjay Bangar feels that veteran off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin will keep India at an advantage.

Speaking on Star Sports, Bangar talked about Varun Chakravarthy by stating, “Varun Chakravarthy’s might have been effective in Sharjah with his recent performances, but he might not make an impact in Dubai against NZ. Also, with this being a vital clash for India, India needs somebody like Ashwin with a whole lot of experience, unlike Chakravarthy.”

“The intensity of this game is so high that Team India needs some healthy experienced lads in the side, besides some temperament as well. Therefore, I have a strong feeling that Ashwin might get the ned ahead of Hakravarthy, which would be a healthy move by the team management,” he supplemented.
