Don’t fear… We will help: Lokesh promises kin of those arrested in Sabarimala case

Last week, there was a minor tension in Sabarimala when  it was found that the base of the Sabarimala flag mast was damaged by some chemical, suspected to be mercury. Five persons, hailing from Vijayawada, were taken into custody in connection with the incident.

The five Andhra natives had been taken into custody soon after the incident based on CCTV visuals from the temple premises. According to Eenadu, the families of those arrested in Sabarimala met the Chief Minister Chandrababu and minister Lokesh separately at a convention centre.

The families clearly said that their people would never do such acts. They requested for an overall investigation and to take initiative into releasing the victims. Responding to this, Lokesh promised that the DGP would talk to the CM and see that the problem is resolved. CM Chandrababu promised that he would talk to the Kerala government and see that the victims would receive justice.
