Formula 3 car racing to become a reality in Amaravathi

Formula 3… is a dream project. It is in the state of realisation in Swarnandhra Pradesh as the Amaravathi Race Resort Project. As a replica to Formula 1… with minor changes in speed it has become a Formula 3.

Cars speedily racing on kilometres of tracks made especially for them will be seen now in Andhra Pradesh. The attempt of CM Nara Chandrababu Naidu to bring Formula 1 to the state is attaining fruition in this manner.  Mukesh Kumar Meena, Secretary of Tourism and Cultural department has prepared a project for this. Land for the racing was identified in Kotapalli Village in Anantapur District. The work is speedily moving to secure the approval of the CM Chandrababu Naidu.

While this project is formed with the partnership of the government and private sectors, it will be lead by Nidhi Markyu One Motors on the national level. On the international level, the tourist department is planning to complete the Formula 3 project with Driven International Limited and Motor Sports Formula Operators. Generally the speed of Formula 1 cars range from 350 to 400 kph but in Formula 3 this is curtailed to only 250 kph. A special track of 3.3 kms is being constructed for car racing.

A DPR is being made ready throughout the track and with it a modern resort, middle-level conference comforts and amusement park with modern sound and light shows will be available. On the other side every aspect related to cars would be encouraged, said the Tourist secretary Mukesh Kumar Meena. He said that the project report would be soon presented to the CM and the next plan of action will be accordingly.

He said that this car racing project is aimed at attracting the national and international tourists. The CM is of the view that projects should bring job opportunities to people and it was accomplished with this project. 300 direct jobs and 500 indirect livelihood opportunities were created.

If the project is approved by the CM, then the first phase of the project will be completed in 18 months. He was hopeful that Kotapalli area in Anantapur district would be financially flourishing. In six months after the completion of first phase, national and international car racing will begin.
