Reports are doing the rounds that well-known director and producer YVS Chowdary allegedly attempted suicide due to financial losses. While the report remains to be confirmed, the news has shocked hundreds of his fans.
Several Telugu news portals have carried the report of his alleged suicide attempt; however, till now no family members of YVS Chowdary have come forward with a statement.
There is still no clarity as to when or how this incident took place. YVS Chowdary was an ardent fan of NTR and inspired by his idol he entered the Telugu film industry. He earned a special recognition among the Telugu film fraternity and audience with his very first movie.
YVS entered Telugu filmdom with his directorial debut “Sri Sita Ramula Kalyanam Chuthamu Rarandi” in 1998 and later went on to give hits like Harikrishna-Nagarjuna starrer “Sitaramaraju.” And with that he earned the title of “hit director.”
While his movie with Mahesh Babu ‘Yuvaraju’ was not a blockbuster it still drew the audience’s appreciation. His next venture as producer and director ‘Lahiri Lahiri Lahirilo’ was a huge success after which his next two produced films ‘Sitaiah’ and ‘Devadas’ put him atop as a successful producer and director.
But his next movie with Bala Krishna ‘Okka Magadu’ (2008) left him in financial loss. His very next movie ‘Saleem’ directed by him and produced by Mohanbabu was also a big flop. These two losses not only drained him financially but also his career as a successful director.
He attempted another shot at success in 2005 starring Mega family son Sai Dharam Tej in ‘Rei’ but this was a big failure. He was drowned in financial losses.
Rumours have it that YVS Chowdary attempted suicide because of his financial loss but is now recuperating under the tender case of his family.
