One of the consistently rumoured WhatsApp feature is the picture-in-picture mode. It is believed than Facebook-owned WhatsApp will soon add the ability to view YouTube video within the app, without the need to leave the page and navigate to the YouTube app.

Now, the picture-in-picture mode has been spotted running on Android O Developer Preview on the app version 2.17.265. According to WeBetaInfo who also tweeted the screenshot, explains that Android 8.0 O has an API that was used by WhatsApp for enabling this feature.
With this new feature, users can continue to chat with friends, even when watching a video. It is among the most awaited features.
Another highly awaited feature is the ability to recall or delete sent messages, which has been hitting headlines for a while now. It's for all those times when you have regretted sending a message and only wished if you could retract it. Reports have been hinting at a 5-minute window to retract messages, but nothing concrete is out yet.
