Watch: Nokia 5 First Impressions
“As a result of the sophistication in smartphone functionality and services, we spend more time than ever before on our phones. People today want something that fits in the palm of their hands and they want something that will go the distance. Nokia 5 is the ultimate pocketable phone at 5.2 inches with a very unique design,” says Mr. Ajey Mehta, Vice President- India, HMD Global.
HMD Global calls it the perfect fit, and that's probably the reason why the company has gone ahead with a 5.2-inch display. It gets a Corning Gorilla glass atop. It's an HD display, which is disappointing for a device available at this price point. However, for the limited time we used it, the viewing angles seemed fine and the display looked bright.
The Nokia 5 comes with a 13MP rear snapper with auto-focus. The device comes powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 coupled with 2GB of RAM. It runs Android Nougat, and HMD Global has promised timely updates. The Nokia 5 packs in 16GB storage, but it is expandable up to 128GB via microSD card slot. The device is fuelled by a 3000mAh battery, just like its expensive sibling Nokia 6.Â
