One of the greatest physicists in the history of science, Stephen Hawking, has died at the age of 76. The man who became a household name after publishing his book, A Brief History of Time, died at his home in Cambridge.
Thanks to his groundbreaking work with black holes and relativity he has been appointed Commander of the Order of the British Empire and also earned the U.S. Presidential Medal of Freedom.
