Anumol plays painter TK Padmini in biopic
- Died at the age of 29, TK Padmini left behind a treasure of paintings.
- Writer Susmesh Chandroth is making his directorial debut with the film Padmini.
- The script of the film on the painter was completed after a year-long research.
A biopic based on TK Padmini, one of the towering female painters from Kerala, will soon hit theatres. Â Â Actress Anumol is portraying the bold artist who produced nearly 200 paintings in a short span of time.

 The eminent painter, who died at the very young age of 29 in 1969, is known for walking ahead of her time. Hailing from a small village in Edappal, Padmini joined School of Fine Arts Chennai and produced some promising works. Though she was grown up in a conservative background,  her paintings are known for their aesthetics and boldness. She conducted painting exhibitions in Hyderabad, Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai.

The film, titled 'Padmini', is directed by writer Susmesh Chandroth who also scripted the movie. The writer spent more than a year researching on the life of the late artist before scripting the biopic. Â

Actor Sanju Sivaram plays Padmini's husband K Damodaran, who himself was an artist. The movie is produced by T K Gopalan in the banner of T K Padmini Memorial Trust.Â
