Bengaluru musician Karan Joseph commits suicide in Bandra

  • He was a resident of Bengaluru but had been renting a place in Mumbai for the past one month
Bengaluru musician Karan Joseph commits suicide in Bandra

29-year-old Karan Joseph committed suicide by jumping off the 12th floor of a building in Bandra, Mumbai, on Saturday. Karan was a resident of Bengaluru and a pianist by profession. In the music scene he was known as KJ aka Mad Fingers.

According to a report in the DNA, the police said that Karan had been renting a place in the 12th floor of the Concord building, Bandra for the past one month. He was staying with his friend Rishi Shah.

In the morning when the incident  occurred he was sitting with his friends in the apartment complex watching television. The friends told the police that suddenly, he just leapt towards to the window and jumped giving them no time to react.

His friends immediately called the police  and Karan was rushed to Bhabha Hospital where he was declared dead on arrival.

Police have begun investigating the matter which for now has been registered as an Accidental death. Karan's parents have been informed, to take custody of his body. The music industry, however, took to social media to mourn his death

 “Karan Joseph was a genius. Should have been far more celebrated than he was. It's really unfair, how the music scene works in India,” tweeted Vishal Dadlani.

He added: Destroyed. #Karan Joseph, one of the most incredible Indian musicians, has committed suicide. Played with Pentagram on our MTV Unplugged set.

Others from the music industry and those who knew him closely also joined in expressing their shock over his death.
