Bhagalpur: Good news for the people of Bihar, a new international airport will soon be built in Sultanpur, Bhagalpur district of Bihar.
855 acres of land near Masdi is proposed for the new airport. Apart from this, 946.4 acres of land will be required for the approach road and other works.
The new airport will be 4000 meters long and 740 meters wide. Earlier there was a proposal to build an airport in Goradih, but no consensus could be reached on it.
In February itself, the Nitish Kumar government had decided that an international airport would be built between Sultanpur and Bhagalpur.
The district administration has proposed the name 'Ajgaivinath Dham Airport' for the new airport.
