Tamil Nadu govt relaxes lockdown norms; tea stalls, salons to open following COVID protocols
With financial constraints on middle and lower-income groups, the Tamil Nadu government relaxed lockdown norms and allowed the opening of tea stalls, salons and parks.
Tamil Nadu which is under lockdown till June 21 will have a few relaxations, as the government allowed opening of tea stalls, salons, parks and few others in 27 districts including Chennai.
However, this ease comes with further restrictions on timing. While tea shops and salons are allowed to open between 6 am to 5 pm only and parks will be opened in the morning between 6 am to 9 am only.
Tea shops should not allow the public to crowd and the same applies to salons as well. Face mask, social distance and sanitising is a must and shop owners in both tea shops and salon shops should wear hand gloves too and keep the surroundings clean.
Keeping in mind the economic growth, TASMAC wine stores will be allowed to function between 10 am to 5 pm.
In order to ensure employment activity, industries are allowed to function with only 33% staff in the office and work on a rotation basis to avoid crowds.
Keeping the education status of students in state, permission has been granted to schools and colleges to conduct admission following all Covid protocols and have been instructed to wait till June 21 for more clarity.
