Will three time loser Chinnappa Reddy contest Nalgonda polls as a TRS candidate

Tera Chinnappa Reddy is an industrialist and promoter of Srini Pharmaceuticals. His interest in politics led him to contest in the 2009 elections as TDP (Telugu Desam Party) candidate for Nagarjuna Sagar constituency opposite Congress veteran leader Jana Reddy. He lost the election by a mere 6,000 votes.

His second contest was the 2014 elections and this time he was prepared and garnered good support in Sagar. But unfortunately, TDP gave him the Nalgonda Parliamentary ticket. He lost the election to Congress leader Gutha Sukender Reddy with more than 2 lakh votes. He decided to quit TDP and joined TRS (Telangana Rashtra Samithi) after Telangana was formed.

He wanted to contest for Nalgonda-Warangal-Khammam Graduate constituency as MLC candidate but TRS has given the seat to Palla Rajeswar Reddy and TRS had won. Even Tera would also have won but he was not given an opportunity.

Finally, he got an opportunity to contest in the Local Authorities Constituency in 2015 but he lost the election. Now with talks of Gutha Sukender Reddy resigning from his Nalgonda MP seat, Tera anticipates an opportunity to contest in the Nalgonda by-election.

Though Tera is rich, will he be offered a TRS party ticket? KCR is a shrewd politician and so will he nominate a three-time losing candidate to the by-election if there’s going to be an election. KCR has taken this by-election as a prestige issue to showcase the TRS strength. Will he nominate Tera for such a crucial election?
