5 tragic incidents Pokemon Go is being blamed for
Ever since its launch Pokémon Go has been growing in popularity, so much so that Nintendo’s market capitalisation has literally doubled. However, there is also a growing speculation that Pokémon Go may have to face a class action lawsuit.
From car collisions to people falling off cliffs, the new mobile game is being blamed also for several such calamities.
Below are five horrible accidents Pokemon Go is being blamed for:
Two men fall off cliff:
Emergency services had to be called in after two men, crossed a fenced area and fell off from a cliff in North San Diego County. According to a report published in LA Times, the men, who were in their early 20s, were playing “Pokemon Go” at the time and likely were led to the cliff when they were trying to catch characters.
One man fell 75 to 100 feet. As firefighters rescued the man, they found the second man unconscious 50 feet down the cliff, the report said. Both men were injured.
Man gets stabbed:
In another incident, a man who was playing the game late in the night ran into a group of thugs inside park. The men then attacked him and stabbed him several times. His condition is said to be critical but stable.
Car accidents:
There also have been reports of car accidents. In New York, a man, who was playing Pokemon Go while driving got distracted and drove his car off the road and slammed into a tree. He was taken to a hospital with minor injuries. In another incident, a 15-year-old Pennsylvania girl was hit by a car as she rushed onto a busy highway to catch a Pokemon. The girl crashed into a speeding car and hurt her collarbone and foot.
Two almost get shot:
Two Pokemon Go players were lucky to drive away with their lives in Orlando. The teenagers who were driving around at 1:30am searching for a new Pokemon to catch, woke up a man living in the Palm Coast area who heard one of the teens outside his house say to the other “did you get anything?”
Thinking them to be robbers, the middle-aged man grabbed his handgun and went outside where the teens were sitting in their car. He stood in front of the car, raised the gun, and told them to remain where they were. The driver slammed the accelerator to speed away. Luckily, his shots only hit the body and tyre of the car.

Offending Victims of War & Terror:
There is no denying that Pokemon Go players will go to any extend so much so that the 9/11 Memorial and the Holocaust Memorial Museum had to ask people to stop playing the game in the premises. Apparently, it wasn’t obvious that playing at a Memorial was entirely inappropriate.
There have also been many instances, where players end up crashing a funeral. The trend is so common that now a person even has created "Pokémon at Funerals" on Tumblr.
Walking through a funeral to catch Pokemon was definitely a low point of me life 🙃
