Facebook to launch smart glasses in collaboration with Ray-Ban on September 9; Details inside

FollowFacebook is preparing to unveil a new pair of smart glasses in collaboration with Ray-Ban. The latter has posted a teaser on its US website, confirming that the device would be shown on September 9. Ray-Ban is a high-end sunglasses and eyewear manufacturer. Earlier this year, at the 2021 Q2 Facebook earnings call, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced the introduction of the spectacles and its partnership with this company. "Looking ahead," he continued, "the next product release will be the debut of our first smart glasses from Ray-Ban in collaboration with Essilor Luxottica."
Zuckerberg had not divulged anything about the smart glasses' functions. He did, however, confirm that the glasses will have Ray-"iconic Ban's shape" and will allow users to "perform some nice stuff," but he did not elaborate on these "neat" functions.

The business is expected to release its own Snapchat Spectacles-style gadget. The glasses would not feature an integrated display but may enable a digital voice assistant, according to prior rumours.
CEO Mark Zuckerberg has yet to reveal many specifics about the new offering. One of the known characteristics is that the glasses will include an integrated high-resolution display and a voice assistant. Users will also be able to link it with their cellphones. It is anticipated that Facebook Smart Glasses would work similarly to Snap Spectacles and Amazon Echo. Facebook has not yet released any further information on the product, but it is believed that all of the product's specific features will be announced by tomorrow. There have been no updates to the price range of this product as of yet.
