Bad news for Amazon users, it's shutting down THIS app in India, Singapore
Amazon has announced its plan to shut down Prime Now Delivery App. The 'two-hour delivery' feature has been added to the Amazon app and website in India, Singapore and Japan.
Prime Now was rolled out back in 2014, but now Amazon is shutting down its standalone app making only one convenient app for shopping, tracking and contacting customer care.
Stephanie Landry, Vice President of grocery at Amazon, told and as reported in GadgetsNow, "The same ultrafast delivery on everyday essentials, gifts, toys, high quality groceries and more you've come to expect with Prime Now and now available on Amazon."
She further said, "In the US, we began making two-hour delivery from Amazon Fresh and Whole Foods Market available on Amazon in 2019. Globally we'll move our third-party partners and local stores to the Amazon Shopping experience before the Prime Now app and website retired later this year."
The customer feedback on this new development has been positive, so it might be a natural way to simplify the global delivery experience.
Customers can simply add items from Alexa on their Amazon Fresh or Whole Food Market cart in the US.
