Breaking: Five men fall in deep manhole in Hyderabad, unconscious
FollowFour people fell into a manhole in Hyderabad this afternoon and are feared dead. This tragic incident took place in Ayyappa Society of the Hitech city area in Hyderabad. Frantic efforts are being made to rescue them from the deep manhole that was lying open on the 100 feet road of the area.

Fire personnel have been summoned to rescue the workers who fell into the manhole which is reportedly full of slush.
According to eyewitnesses, the workers descended into the manhole unprotected to repair it. Having seen them falling into the 25 foot-deep pit, others called in a 108 vehicle. A member of the 108 team, who tried to rescue them by getting down into the pit, also got stuck in the narrow manhole.
It is suspected that they lost consciousness after inhaling the poisonous gasses emanating from the pit.
Rescue teams are digging a parallel pit to reach the workers and rescue them.
