Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) skipper Gautam Gambhir has been on a roll in the 10th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The southpaw from Delhi has already notched up 376 runs in 9 matches at an average of 32.33. The KKR captain also has 4 half-centuries to his name already and he would be looking forward to adding more to his name by the end of the tournament.

KKR are sitting right at the top of the IPL 2017 points table and they have very little things to worry about. Their skipper has led the side from the front and he is likely to emulate the same in the remaining matches of the tournament.

The two-time IPL champions notched up yet another victory against Delhi Daredevils on Friday and a run chase was yet again orchestrated by the dynamic duo of Gambhir and Robin Uthappa. Gambhir, on his way to 71*, broke several records.

Let us take a look at the records the KKR skipper broke on Friday against the Daredevils:

## Gautam Gambhir has now scored the most number of runs  (3311 runs in 115 innings) as a captain in the IPL.
## The KKR skipper has the most number of fifties (35) in the history of IPL. He went passed David Warner, who had 34 half-centuries.
## The southpaw completed 6,000 runs in the shortest format of the game. Only three Indian players are ahead of him - Rohit Sharma (6231), Virat Kohli (6677) and Suresh Raina (6739).
## Gambhir has the most number of half-centuries while chasing (20). He yet again went passed Warner, who had 19 to his name.
## The partnership of Gambhir and Uthappa has hurt a number of teams in the last few years. The dynamic duo has scored 1300 runs while chasing, which is the most in the history of the tournament. They also have five 100-run partnerships and 10 50-run partnerships, which are records in itself.
