NEET exam 2020 result not to be declared on October 12; re-exam on October 14 for students who couldn’t appear

New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will not be announcing the NEET 2020 results on Monday (October 12).

The Supreme Court allowed NEET exam to be conducted on October 14 for students who could not appear for it due to COVID-19 infection or because of residing in containment zones. The results will now be announced on October 16.

More than 13 lakh students appeared for NEET 2020 this year.

The NEET 2020 result will be published along with the official answer keys for all the subjects of NEET -- Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany and Zoology). As soon as NEET results 2020 are declared, candidates will be able to access the final answer key of NEET on NTA’s official websites -- nta.nic.in and ntaneet.ac.in. Students who have written the eligibility test of NEET can check the final NEET 2020 official answer key and NEET results 2020 to gauge their chances of selection in their desired medical colleges.

The NEET is held for admission to undergraduate courses in medical and allied fields in all medical colleges in the country including the centrally-run AIIMS and JIPMER. NEET is a pen-and-paper based test. NEET 2020 was held on September 13.

How to check NEET 2020 results:

Step 1: Visit the official website ntaneet.nic.in

Step 2: Click on the link for NEET result

Step 3: Enter roll number, date of birth and submit

Step 4: Results will appear on the screen

Step 5: Download it, and take a printout for future reference.

To qualify for MBBS/BSD courses, candidates need to obtain a minimum 50th percentile in NEET. For those belonging to reserved categories including SC and ST category, the minimum marks are 40th percentile and for PwD candidates it is 45th percentile.

Step 1: Go to the official website: ntaneet.nic.in

Step 2: Click on ‘NEET (UG) – 2020 Final Answer Key’.

Step 3: A PDF file will appear on the screen

Step 4: Check the NEET answer key.
