To check on pollution, the court has banned the sale and manufacturing of BS 3 vehicles from April 1. Considering the high rates of cars, if you are thinking of purchasing a second-hand car, which might fall under BS 3 category, you might be in trouble.

The court has not given its complete ruling regarding the ban of BS 3 vehicles. Thus, currently, no BS 3 vehicles can be registered. But there is no clear ruling on transferring the ownership or re-registration, in the case of second-hand purchase. The ruling says that re-registration of vehicles which do not come under BS4 is ruled out.

In addition, following the current ruling, people will be interested in getting rid of their BS3 vehicles and will offer their old vehicles at a cheaper rate. Thus, do not go by the price, be careful before purchasing and investing your money into vehicles.
