Recently, Pakistan media Dawn had falsely claimed UK PM Boris Johnson’s death. Now, another news channel has telecast Indian actor Aamir Khan's photo mistaking him for jailed MQM leader.
Known for goofups and blunders, the Pakistan News channel has done it once again. This time, one of the news channels allegedly put out Indian actor Aamir Khan's photo mistaking him for an accused involved in a double murder case.
Amir Khan is the former general secretary of Mohajir Quami Movement-Haqiqi and he was named in a double murder case in 2003. However, the leader is now acquitted of all crimes. In a hurry to break news, it seems Indian actor Amir Khan's photo was telecast instead of Amir Khan from MQM.
People looking for some humour during lockdown, had a field day as they put out tweets based on this goofup.
One of the journalists wrote:
"Headline: After 17 years MQM leader Amir Khan exonerated in a murder case.
Didn't know Indian actor Amir Khan was in Pakistan for the last 17 years..".

The screengrab of the Pakistani news channel shared by the journalist on Twitter had news updates written around the picture of Aamir Khan in Urdu. MQM leader Amir Khan is the former general secretary of Mohajir Quami Movement-Haqiqi.
