In a stunning display of entitlement, a group of shirtless tourists turned Hong Kong’s Mass Transit Railway (MTR) into their personal gymnasium, apparently without any regard or regard for fellow commuters who were travelling in the compartment.
In a video that went viral on social media, especially X (formerly Twitter), shirtless tourists were using MTR’s train handles and vertical poles as their personal workout station, casually doing pull-ups and swinging around while recording the stunt for content. The video was reportedly filmed by one of the tourists themselves.
Since Hong Kong’s MTR is famous for its strict codes of public conduct and cleanliness, local authorities and online communities have zero tolerance for such disruptive behaviour, raising fresh concerns over traveler etiquette and the enforcement of transit bylaws.

A group of foreign tourists seemingly travelled to Hong Kong for a trip or vacation, but their trip quickly devolved into an online spectacle, wherein they were seen laughing and jeering while completely ignoring the discomfort of local passengers who were simply trying to commute in peace.
In a viral clip, a couple of foreign tourists were seen getting down on the escalator on the premises of the station, shirtless and filming themselves without any worry about public decorum or the rules governing the city's transit system, further amplifying the disregard for local culture and commuter comfort.
The shirtless tourists continued to perform stunts even after boarding, hanging off overhead fixtures and doing chin-ups while laughing loudly, completely unbothered by the growing irritation of the daily commuters around them.
WHlTE tourists
> shirts off, full volume screaming
> dancing and pushing inside Hong Kong trains
> running half naked through malls and escalators
> not a single local stops them 😤

Hong Kong’s MTR is used by millions of passengers daily, making adherence to safety regulations and respect for public spaces essential for maintaining an orderly and pleasant commuting environment for everyone.
However, the recent incident of shirtless tourists behaving unusually inside the MTR has attracted significant attention online, with the video quickly spreading across social media platforms.
The viral video of the foreign tourists doing pull-ups and swinging from handrails inside the MTR has triggered a wave of reactions on social media, especially X (formerly Twitter), with many users expressing their displeasure over the tourists’ behaviour.
Taking to their X handles, netizens strongly reacted to the tourists’ antics, with some calling the behaviour ‘deplorable’ and ‘unacceptable’. Others questioned the absence of Hong Kong police and said such conduct would rarely be seen among local commuters.
However, some users went beyond criticising the tourists’ conduct, with their reactions targeting the visitors more broadly. Others focused on the need for greater discipline and respect for local public spaces, while some users sarcastically contrasted the tourists’ behaviour with the image of Hong Kong’s orderly public transport system.

Wignats think they rule the world. This arrogance makes them act like monkeys because they think they can get away with it. Sorry to say this but east Asians really should stop admiring them. Asia has the richest culture. Wignats have nothing.

It is uncertain whether Hong Kong authorities have taken any action against the tourists over the incident, as no official response or enforcement action has been reported so far.
