Following the Taliban's return to Afghanistan, residents find it increasingly difficult to obtain reliable and verifiable information. Ehtesab, a mobile application, seeks to assist individuals in navigating changing situations and understanding potential hazards.

Rest of World, a global tech news site, profiled Ehtesab, a Kabul-based Afghan startup that aims to offer verified, exact information on occurrences such as power shortages, traffic jams, roadblocks, and bombs. Sara Wahedi built this programme, and she has been doing everything she can to safeguard her female employees since the fall of Kabul. To reduce danger, all identifying information about them is deleted or avoided in the notifications, and all workers now work remotely.

Wahedi told the media that they don't feel secure in the present atmosphere because their duty is to report on accountability concerns. She stated that they do not overtly write or publish about the Taliban. They do, however, give information on security threats such as barricades, shooting, looting, traffic bottlenecks, power outages, and petrol pricing. Sara Wahedi is already out of Afghanistan, and she is working on getting the rest of her crew out. She is currently working on updating her app to assist Afghans who are still in the country.
