A day after his supporters stormed the Capitol Hill and indulged in acts of violence, US President Donald Trump has conceded President-elect Joe Biden. He also said that there will be an orderly transition on January 20th


A day after his supporters stormed the Capitol Hill and indulged in acts of violence, US President Donald Trump has conceded President-elect Joe Biden.

In a new video message, Trump said, "Even though I totally disagree with the outcome of the election, and the facts bear me out, nevertheless, there will be an orderly transition on January 20th."

He added, "Serving as your president has been the honour of my lifetime. And to all of my wonderful supporters, I know you are disappointed, but I also want you to know that our incredible journey is only just beginning."

Trump's statement indicated a sharp drawdown from his rhetoric earlier about fraud in the presidential election verdict.

In his brief statement, Trump also said that he was "outraged by the lawlessness and mayhem" unleashed by his supporters.

Four people lost their lives and 52 were arrested after Trump supporters stormed the Capitol Hill yesterday in an attempt to disrupt the lawmakers who were in the process of certifying Joe Biden as the winner of the 2020 presidential election.
