TMC leaders torch furniture in party's office after being denied ticket

Synopsis

Several TMC leaders were upset over being denied a ticket for the West Bengal assembly elections. Supporters of TMC leader Arabul Islam torched wooden chairs outside the party office in North 24 Parganas after he was denied nomination  

Several Trinamool Congress leaders were upset over being denied a ticket for the West Bengal assembly elections. Many TMC leaders broke down in tears in front of the media after the Trinamool candidate list was announced on Friday (March 5). 

Supporters of TMC leader Arabul Islam torched wooden chairs outside the party office in North 24 Parganas after he was denied nomination for Bengal assembly polls.

Supporters of Arabul Islam rounded up chairs lying vacant around the TMC office in Bhangar and torched them on Friday.

Arabul Islam broke down on being denied a ticket and said that he would do whatever the local people want him to do.

However, Mamata Banerjee after announcing the list of candidates on Friday said that she will form the legislative council and will give positions to all those people who did not get nominations for the assembly polls.
