Suvendu’s brother Somendu Adhikari vehicle attacked in Bengal’s Contai, blames TMC

BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari’s brother Somendu Adhikari was allegedly attacked by Trinamool Congress workers in Contai town of West Bengal's East Midnapur district.

Somendu and his brother Dibyendu Adhikari alleged that TMC block president Ram Govind Das has attacked them and that he was involved in poll rigging in three booths.

According to sources, Somendu Adhikari was unharmed in the incident. He said, “Under the leadership of the TMC block President, Ram Govind Das and his wife, poll rigging was underway at three booths.”

“My arrival here created problem for them, so they attacked my car and thrashed my driver,” he added.

Somendu Adhikari had earlier alleged that some people were being stopped from voting at a polling centre in Contai.
