Cookist, an Italian media-owned culinary channel, has sparked outrage among netizens after sharing a so-called "balloon bread" recipe last week. Cookist's video reminded many people of the South Asian staple dish naan.

"Easy to make and tasty, this #baloonbread recipe is the ideal alternative to bread!" commented The Cookist, who uploaded the video on how to create the balloon bread. The post described the procedure of creating the balloon bread as follows: "Just combine flour, warm water, warm milk, oil, and dried yeast."
