A video of NYPD's Robot Police Dog, Digidog, has gone viral, leaving the netizens concerned after it reminded them of RoboCop & Black Mirror.

In the video, Digidog, a 70-pound robotic dog of the New York Police Department, patrols through the streets in public with the officers.

The Digidog is used to assist the cops in dangerous situations, such as a hostage situation.

The robotic dog comes with cameras and lights attached to its body, and it also has two-way communication that allows the officer to see and hear what is happening in any given situation.

However, the invention becomes a big concern for people's safety after being reminded of sci-fi movies such as RoboCop, Black Mirror and iRobot.
