Gold rain rumour drives hundreds to start treasure hunt in Bengaluru

Bengaluru: There's Gold raining in Bengaluru. That's the fake rumour that drove hundreds to start digging around Anekal in Karnataka a couple of days ago. Around 4pm, rumour spread like wildfire about gold pouring from the sky along with the rain, near the Bagalur police quarters. Residents gathered and searched for the gold coins. Some even claimed to have found the yellow metal.  Later, police too arrived at the spot, and seized the gold for inspection. Locals believe that these coins are from ancient times and belongs to the rulers of the place. Watch the video.
