The Indian Premier League is building up for the upcoming 2021 edition, which would be the 14th edition of the cash-rich tournament. As another action-packed season is expected, the traditional pre-season mini-auction ceremony took place in Chennai on Thursday.

As expected, the auction attracted a few top bids for some of the big players, while some of the unexpected ones, too received hefty bids. Consequently, some historic purchases were made as well. On the same note, we take a look at the most expensive buys in the IPL Auction to date.
