Bengaluru: The scorching summer heat with temperatures of above 35 degrees Celsius in the last few days in Bengaluru saw city folk suffer under the sun. On Monday night, however, they breathed a sigh of relief as the sky opened up to rains in the late evening hours. According to Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Centre director Srinivas Reddy, the sudden change in weather is due to wind discontinuity from the Kerala Coast to Andhra Pradesh. " Wind discontinuity has resulted in the formation of clouds in places like Mysuru, Bengaluru and Tumakuru and has led to rainfall. This pattern will prevail for the next four days. Mostly isolated, moderate and light rains will be witnessed in Bengaluru,” Reddy said.
