Why does Rahul Gandhi think the 'Emergency was a mistake'? Watch video

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi had a virtual meeting with noted economist Kaushik Basu. During which congress leader Rahul Gandhi said that the Emergency imposed by the late former PM Indira Gandhi from 1975 to '77 was a "mistake".   

Rahul also said that during the Emergency, constitutional rights and civil liberties were suspended, the media was restricted. Many opposition leaders were jailed, which was "fundamentally different from the current scenario".
