Violence erupts between two groups in Rajasthan’s Fatehpur Shekhawati

Jodhpur: Mohalla plains in Jodhpur witnessed a battle between two councillors of two wards as their supporters took to streets and violence erupted with young adults and children fighting it out with lethal weapons and sticks. In ward 12 Chetan's Bari neighbourhood, a dispute over the electoral process led to a fight with lathi and sharp weapons on both sides, in which 11 people were injured, out of which two are in a critical condition.

It is worth noting that this controversy rose due to the last municipal elections held in August 2019. Police arrived at the spot and detained 9 people in relation to the incident.
