Lizards believed to improve sexual performance smuggled into Bengaluru

Bengaluru: The Koramangala Police have arrested six persons for possessing spiny tail lizards. The police caught the culprits were shocked with the revelation made by the accused. 

According to police, the accused said that they supply these lizards to software professionals and some real estate developers for they believe these reptiles can improve their sexual performance. And these lizards have been smuggled all the way from Rajasthan.

The spiny tail lizards are found only in  Rajasthan. They eat grass and can survive for at least two months without food. It is this quality of the reptile that is being marketed as a source of improving libido.

The police say that among the arrested, five of them are from Tamil Nadu and one is from Chintamani in Karnataka. They are booked under the Wildlife Protection Act.
