Leopard trapped in snare meant to hunt wild boar; hundreds of villagers gathered to see wild cat

Kolar residents witnessed a rare sight of leopard stuck in a snare kept for wild boar by poachers. The animal was said to have been caught last night when it was out hunting.  
As the public gathered, forest officials were called. The officials caught and released the animal into the forest.
