Hyderabad-Karnataka leaders question Yediyurappa on inducting defeated candidate into Cabinet

Bengaluru: Pressure mounts on Karnataka chief minister BS Yediyurappa as he faces groupism in the state BJP unit ahead of Cabinet expansion. Ten BJP leaders from the Kalyana Karnataka (Hyderabad-Karnataka) region held a meeting with CM Yediyurappa in Bengaluru on Monday to assert their right for a fair representation in the Cabinet. There were other meetings as well by MLAs, some of them working closely with Yediyurappa, to build pressure on the chief minister. Shorapur MLA Narasimha Nayak (Raju Gowda) and political secretary to CM BS Yediyurappa MP Renukacharya held closed door talks with the CM and objected to proposed inclusion of CP Yogeshwar into the ministry. Referring to CP Yogeshwar, Renukacharya said they don’t want a defeated candidate to become a minister in Yediyurappa’s Cabinet. BJP veteran R Ashoka cleared the air and said there is no problem in expanding the Cabinet, CM Yediyurappa would decide on it.
