According to Ramesh Babu -- who himself was once a JDS MLC before joining the Congress as spokesperson -- apart from Madhu Bangarappa, 16 sitting MLAs could leave the JDS and join Congress but are waiting for the right time and opportunity. Interestingly, there are no elections due for another two years.
Meanwhile, Madhu Bangarappa's entry could be expected soon as he shares a good rapport with Congress state President DK Shivakumar and state AICC incharge Dinesh Gundu Rao. Sources said Bangarappa and some top state Congress leaders have met several times in this regard.
