Under the leadership of BJP district president Suresh Mahajan, BJP workers submitted a memorandum against Punjab chief minister Captain Amarinder Singh to the Amritsar district magistrate's office demanding implementation of CAA in Punjab. On this occasion, a member named Rajesh Honey said that the Punjab government has refused to implement the CAA.
In the demand letter, the members said if the Act is implemented, then the refugees will be benefitted from it. Meanwhile, ADC Himanshu Agarwal said that this demand letter would be placed before Punjab government and that their grievance would be communicated to Punjab government.
