As positive cases of coronavirus are increasing by the day, there is growing concern among the public after government paved the way for liquor sales. Now, 33 Tabligh Jamaat members’ arrival in the state has added to impending fears.
The deputy commissioner of Ahmedabad had given the clearance and sent the Tabligh Jamaat members back to their state.
Among 33, 15 are from Chitradurga and rest are from Karnataka-Andhra Pradesh border Pavagada Taluk.
After arriving in Bengaluru, the Jamaatis have been housed at JMIT circle OBC hostel. And 18 members were sent to Pavagada.
The police inspected the bus to ensure physical distance was maintained, while warning the members to behave and not to spit. To give some relief to the state, Bengaluru Rural Police said that fortunately the members are coming from Ahmedabad and have no links with Delhi Jamaatis.
