Comorbidities And Covid-19: What Is Comorbidity?

According to the data from the Union Health Ministry, nearly one in every five patients, or 17.9% of the people, with comorbidities who contract the Covid-19 in India, succumb to the viral disease. For patients with no comorbidities, the corresponding proportion is a very low 1.2%. This means that people with comorbidities are 15 times more likely to die if infected by the Coronavirus.
