"The prime minister does not care for the farmers. He will call people terrorists, he will call them anti-terrorists, he will do whatever he wants to do to transfer wealth from the backbone of this country to the three or four crony capitalists," Rahul Gandhi said after his meeting with President Ram Nath Kovind.
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi met President Ramnath Kovind along with MPs Ghulam Nabi Azad and Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury and appraised him on the ongoing farmers' protest.
Emerging from the meeting, Rahul said while the Centre has been claiming that the new farm laws were in the interests of the farmers, it was evident from the farmers' protests that the reality is different.
Speaking to media persons, Rahul said: "The Prime Minister should know, the farmers will not move back. They will not go home till these three laws are withdrawn."

Govt must listen to farmers: Priyanka
Earlier today, Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra was detained along with other party leaders for taking out a march to Rashtrapati Bhavan to meet President Ram Nath Kovind.
After being stopped by the police on the way, Priyanka said: "We are living in a democracy and they are elected MPs. They have the right to meet the President and they should be allowed. What is the problem with that? The Centre is not ready to listen to voices of lakhs of farmers camping at borders."
"This is their way. Which country are you talking about? There is no democracy in India. It can be in your mind, but in reality, there's no democracy in India," Rahul Gandhi said while reacting to Priyanka Gandhi's detention.
