As per reports, Ann showed positive to the mutated strain of the coronavirus after being subjected to RT-PCR test and was immediately sent to the quarantine center, however, she escaped from the center.

Upon realising, the health authorities then immediately called the East-Godavari District Administration and gave her details along with her residential address. Based on the inputs, the authorities traced her from the first-class train travelling from Delhi to East-Godavari on December 21 night.

The authorities caught her from the train and she was taken to an isolation center as per Dr T Ramesh Kumar,  East Godavari district coordinator for health services order.

The authorities are now tracing her primary and secondary contacts which may include railway staff and other passengers from the same train.
