Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Thursday announced that all COVID-19 immunisation eligible recipients in Goa had received the first dosage. Himachal Pradesh announced earlier this month that adults had acquired 100% Covid immunisation with the first dose. Sawant informed on Thursday that the state government has set a goal of fully vaccinating all adults in Goa by October 31.

Speaking to reporters, he stated that the state has finished 100% of the first vaccine dosage and plans to complete the second dose by October 31. Further, the Chief Minister stated that the state's Covid problem is under control. He explained that while instances in neighbouring states like Kerala and Maharashtra have increased, they are still under control. He advised everyone to take the second dose on time.

I congratulate our Doctors, Nurses and Healthcare Workers for administering the first dose of vaccines to 100% eligible population in Goa. I thank the people of Goa for their support in making this drive a huge success. pic.twitter.com/fsuX7vWmDS
