Sushant's father Krishna Kishore Singh had moved the High Court earlier this year, claiming that many people were taking advantage of his son's death.

The Delhi High Court on Thursday turned down the petition filed by late actor Sushant Singh Rajput's father seeking a stay on the release of the film 'Nyay: The Justice,' based on the death of Sushant Singh Rajput.

Sushant's father Krishna Kishore Singh had moved the High Court earlier this year, claiming that many people were taking advantage of his son's death.

In his petition, Sushant's father claimed that the late actor's life was being seen as an opportunity at the cost of his and his family's reputation to gain fame by throwing up different theories and stories. He had claimed that no such movies or other ventures could be undertaken without his prior approval.

The producers have nonetheless been directed to maintain the accounts of the film.

Senior advocate Vikas Singh, who represented Sushant Singh Rajput's father, told the high court that the movie had been planned to influence a pending investigation, witness and other officials.
