Telangana Congress leader’s son suffers severe bullet wounds

Mukesh Goud’s son Vikram Goud was shot at his residence in the early hours He was rushed to Apollo hospital where his condition is said to be stable The reasons for the incident are not known

Former Minister and Senior Congress leader of Telangana Mukesh Goud’s son Vikram Goud was fired at his residence in Gayatri Hills near Hafeez Baba Nagar in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad at 3:30am.

The incident seems mysterious as there were no one at the house except for Vikram’s wife and children and Vikram was getting ready to perform a puja.

According to reports, three bullets injured his right shoulder, stomach and spinal cord. The doctors removed the bullets and his condition is said to be stable.

"The incident occurred between 3 am and 3.30 am," Deputy Commissioner of Police (West Zone) A Venkateshwar Rao said.

"As per preliminary investigation, Vikram and his wife were getting ready to visit a place of worship. Vikram was waiting on the ground floor. Suddenly, his wife heard gun shots and found him lying on the ground," the DCP said after visiting the hospital.

The police officer said that they were trying to find out if someone fired at Vikram or he shot himself. He said the investigation is underway and all details would be available only after getting clear information.

Vikram Goud is in his 30s and is a member of Youth Congress.
