Congress leader compares Telangana Chief Minister to Tughlaq

Synopsis

Marri Shashidhar Reddy said that KCR is behaving like Muhammad Bin Tughlaq KCR is planning to build a new Secretariat when the old one is half vacant He warned the CM that they would stop his actions

Senior Congress leader of Telangana criticised Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao saying that he is acting like the historical Muhammad Bin Tughlaq. He said that KCR pressurising the Centre to give land belonging to Defence in order to build the new Secretariat reminded him of Tughlaq rule.

In the annals of history we find Muhammad Bin Tughlaq tried to shift the capital from Delhi to Daulatabad against all odds and failed. Now the Telangana CM seems to be doing the same by trying to move the Secretariat to a different place when 60 per cent of the present Secretariat is vacant. Marri accused KCR of trying to build a new one in order to mint money through contractors.

Marri said that the Congress is against such a move and would try to oppose and agitate if such an action is taken by the Telangana Government.
